Common name:Blue Rug Juniper
Botanical name:Juniperus horizontalis 'Wiltonii'

This prostrate ground cover is valued for its silver, blue-green foliage which remains a constant blue color through winter. It is useful on slopes and when draped over walls. It quickly spreads 6'-8' wide, only reaching 6" tall. It prefers full sun and is cold tolerant. This conifer is great for erosion control and looks great in rock gardens. It needs occasional watering once it's established.

Gray Gleam Juniper is a slow growing shrub. It can take 30-40 years to attain full height of 15'. It is a symmetrical, blue gray column. Junipers are highly combustible plants.

Bearded Iris

Botanical name:Iris bearded hybrids

This perennial will grow 1'-3' tall and has medium sized, blue green leaves with flowers of different colors that bloom in spring. It needs well draining soil and full sun. Many are fragrant and rebloom several times a year. Plant rhizomes in Sept or Oct. They need water once a week during the hot spells. Top dress with compost and gypsum in January and August.
