Soils and Compost:

Physical weed control, including mulching, or hand removal protects the watershed from harmful chemicals.

Water-Saving Tip:

Group plants with similar water needs together so that some plants aren't over watered to meet the needs of their more thirsty neighbors.

Never include shrub and lawn areas in the same sprinkler zone.

Integrated Pest Management:

Drip and other smart irrigation delivers water directly to roots, allowing no excess water for weeds.
