Description

The Blue Flax has adapted well in most regions. Its long stems are bluish-gray, and the narrow leaves help make this the perfect background for lovely, 5-petalled pale blue flowers. This is an Oregon native. It blooms in the spring. The plants are 1-2' and prefer a light, well-drained or sandy type of soil in full or part sun.

Water Saving Tip:

Consider replacing some lawn areas with groundcovers, trees, and shrubs.

Good candidates for removal are portions of large lawns, areas where no one uses the grass, patches that don't grow well, or spaces too small to water without overspray.
