Spiraea nipponica 'Snow Mound'
Snowmound Nippon Spiraea
Description
An arching, deciduous shrub with white spring flowers, the Snow- mound is both easy to grow and care for. It is a small, decisuous shrub that grows to 2-3' high with a mounding form. Its leaves are small, bluish-green and similar to the boxwood. In the spring, white flowers cover the plant, and should receive full sun for growth. It can be effectively planted as a small hedge or accent plant, as well as a background or filler for later blooming evergreen shrubs and /or perennials.

Consider replacing some lawn areas with groundcovers, trees, and shrubs.
Good candidates for removal are portions of large lawns, areas where no one uses the grass, patches that don't grow well, or spaces too small to water without overspray.
