Description

Nicotiana tabacum is an annual with a large, fibrous root, and an erect, round, hairy stem which branches near the top, and rises from 3'-6' in height. It needs a well drained, rich soil mix with full sun to partial shade. Flowers are clustered at the tip of the stems. Pink, showy flowers are 1.5" long and 1" wide. Spent flowers should be cut to encourage more blooms. Plants do not tolerate drought conditions in containers. It needs fertilizer weekly to maintain growth.

Water Saving Tip:

Give your sprinkler system a checkup when turning it on in the spring and occasionally during the summer.

Trim branches that are obstructing spray patterns and raise sprinklers that are too low for spray to clear the grass.
