Description

This eastern U.S. native requires at least a half day's direct sunlight and rich garden soil. It should be placed toward the back, as it will be 3-6' when blooming. From July through September, bright, purplish-pink flowers are abundant in large panicles at the top of stems. -Holland WIldflower Farm

Water Saving Tip:

In shrub areas, convert from spray sprinklers to bubbler or drip systems that apply water directly to roots.

Occasionally check the soil's moisture level around shrubs before and after watering to determine if watering times are appropriate.
