Description
Nicotiana tabacum is an annual with a large, fibrous root, and an erect, round, hairy stem which branches near the top, and rises from 3'-6' in height. It needs a well drained, rich soil mix with full sun to partial shade. Flowers are clustered at the tip of the stems. Pink, showy flowers are 1.5" long and 1" wide. Spent flowers should be cut to encourage more blooms. Plants do not tolerate drought conditions in containers. It needs fertilizer weekly to maintain growth.
