Description

These clumping, deciduous perennials spread by rhizomes to conquer large areas. Stalks of large, single dark rose flowers appear in fall. Double flowered forms also exist, with two ranks of ray petals. The stalks can be from 2-6' tall. The Japanese Anemone do best in part shade, with average to little summer watering. -Monterey Bay Nursery

Water Saving Tip:

In shrub areas, convert from spray sprinklers to bubbler or drip systems that apply water directly to roots.

Occasionally check the soil's moisture level around shrubs before and after watering to determine if watering times are appropriate.
