This plant has birlliant coral fall and winter color on young stems. New leaves are tinged red and become green in the summer and then yellow gold with light red overtones in fall.

This tall, mounding grass will grow to about 6' high and has seasonally deciduous, greenish white, variegated leaves. Tall grasses are highly combustible.

Soils and Compost:

Practice grass-cycling by leaving short grass clippings on lawns after mowing, so that nutrients and organic matter are returned to the soil.

Water-Saving Tip:

Make sure ponds and water features aren't leaking, splash out is minimized, and water for streams and waterfalls is recirculated.

Keeping water surface areas small and partially shaded will also reduce evaporation.

Integrated Pest Management:

Remove irrigation water and fertilizer from areas where you don't want weeds to grow.
