Description

Chinese Lilac is a broad-spreading shrub that can reach 8'-15' tall. It does well in full sun with moist, well-drained soil. Leaves are medium to dark green. Flowers can be purple, white or violet, 4"-6" long, very fragrant and profuse in May. Prune regularly to keep it from getting to leggy.

Water Saving Tip:

Consider replacing some lawn areas with groundcovers, trees, and shrubs.

Good candidates for removal are portions of large lawns, areas where no one uses the grass, patches that don't grow well, or spaces too small to water without overspray.
